Tenure-Track Rhetoric position at Lousiana State University

The Department of English at Louisiana State University is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric, with a preference for expertise in rhetorics of ethnicity. The candidate should be prepared to teach a range of courses in rhetorical theory and the history of rhetoric. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Competitive candidates should be prepared to teach graduate and undergraduate courses at a Research Intensive university and to engage in program enhancement. They will also be expected to maintain an active research agenda in a diverse department that has concentrations in literature; rhetoric, writing, and culture; secondary education in English; and creative writing.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D., with demonstrated preparation and expertise in rhetoric, by the time the position begins.
