Appel à contributions : American Society for the History of Rhetoric (nov. 2010)

Call For Papers : American Society for the History of Rhetoric at the National Communication Association Annual Meeting

San Francisco, CA

Sunday, November 14 – Wednesday, November 17, 2010

The American Society for the History of Rhetoric invites submissions of program proposals and competitive papers. ASHR welcomes work that examines both the theory and practice of rhetoric in all periods and languages, and that deals with the relation between rhetoric and politics, law, philosophy, religion, poetics and other cultural contexts.

The Society welcomes papers related to NCA’s convention theme, « Building Bridges, » whether bridges among cultures, periods, theories, or thinkers. However, submissions need not be restricted to this conference theme. All submissions relevant to the interests of the Society are welcome.

The Society also sponsors a Student Paper Award. To be considered for the Society’s Student Paper Award, student-authored papers should be marked « Student Paper. » Because all submissions will be processed and reviewed via All Academic, authors and panel organizers should upload their papers and proposals online, rather than send them to the unit planner. *All author identification should be removed from papers.

Submission Guidelines: All papers, paper sessions, and panel discussion proposals must be submitted online using the All Academic system using one of the following file formats in order to be accepted Microsoft Word, PDF, RTF. Compressed or zip files will not be accepted. You can access the system at : http://convention3.allacademic.com/one/nca/nca10

Please include all audio and visual needs in your online submission. NCA is able to supply standard equipment (e.g., projector and screens) but presenters with other requirements (e.g., CD, DVD) must supply their own.
